To begin, the author contacts One Pearl Publishing by using the contact page at this web site.
After a contract is signed and received, the author selects one of the standard book sizes and the type of paper that they want for the finished book. The sizes are listed below.
5.5 x 8.5 6 x 9 6.14 x 9.21 7 x 10 8 x 10
minimum page count is 24 for all books
maximum pages varies from 400 - 828
depending on paper and industry size selected.
Next, the author submits the word document manuscript by email attachment or mailed CD. ( We do not accept printed manuscripts. Please do not mail us any. Protect our environment and save yourself the cost of mailing. Printed manuscripts will not be returned.) We give your word document a final edit and set it to correspond with the size of book you have selected. If we see any problems we will give you suggestions before continuing. We will not rewrite your work.
After an author has approved the corrected manuscript, we will turn the print ready format into a publisher’s format and have it printed into proof copy for the author to approve.
After the author has approved the printed proof, we will make it ready for public sale on Amazon when told by the author to do so.
The author may order as many copies as desired through us at the low author’s rate. We keep no portion of the author rate. The author rate is basically the cost of printing your size book from the printer. No royalties are earned by nor owed to One Pearl Publishing for books purchased at the author rate.
We make arrangements for all royalties to come to you directly from the companies we deal with, Amazon/CreateSpace.
Your book can also be made available on an extended market for an additional CreateSpace Pro Plan fee. The author would pay the fee to CreateSpace. This option can be set up by One Pearl Publishing at the time of going public with your publication and placing your first order of books at author rates. Or the author can personally arrange the Extended Market Feature at any time in the future. CreateSpace does charge a small and most reasonable fee at this time to stay in the Pro Plan each calendar year.
One Pearl Publishing does not provide any marketing or marketing tips. It does not arrange book tours or talks. It does not provide an e store to sell your book. All promotion and marketing are the author's responsibility.
One Pearl Publishing is not responsible for fee changes that Amazon or CreateSpace may make in the future.
One Pearl Publishing retains the right to use an image of the cover of your book for promotional purposes. One Pearl Publishing will not use any excerpts of your work without the prior permission of the author. One Pearl Publishing will not distribute any copies of your manuscript with the exception of those required to publish, print, and market with Amazon/CreateSpace.
Although One Pearl Publishing does not censure, we do reserve the right not to publish a work if we find it contains graphic adult material. If after editing One Pearl Publishing finds material of this nature, your publishing set-up fees will be returned along with the edited word document via emailed. The editing fee will be retained for services rendered.
