"Publishing Pearls of Wisdom"
5 Stars Review on Amazon
Improve your relationships
The other reviews speak to the subject of separation and divorce, so I will not repeat those comments.
I've never been married and divorced, had a dating relationship that lasted long enough to cause a painful split, or many of the other situations which can cause severe physical or mental pain. I bought the book so that I could read through the chapters and learn more about what other people have faced. As a pastor, I believe what I've learned can help me help other people through similar situations. Whether you suggest the book to people in your support groups or read it yourself, you can gain some valuable insight into the process of separation/divorce and the healing process afterward.
What surprised me the most was that, when I took the time to complete the journaling and prayer exercises, I gained a better understanding of myself and how I relate to other people. Even the most true of Christ's disciples can learn and grow in their ability to love and be loved. There are probably things in our past which prevent us from getting into closer relationships with our family, friends, neighbors, and other people around us. The insight I gained will help me become a better friend and avoid relationships which could adversely effect my walk with God.
The information is based on both clinical and Biblical principles. The chapters, case studies, and exercises are written in such a way as to be understood by people without specialized training. Whether you're working through a separation/divorce or just trying to figure out why you have a difficult time building lasting relationships of any type, this is a must read book. - Sheila Rae Myers,
